is there a .308 that comes with a laminated stock, and isn't a heavy varmint type for under 1000$?

i would consider 8 lbs(empty without scope and attachments) the absolute maximum.

Thank you for the chuckle this morning.
I can't count the number of times I've done the same thing.

Tikka T3 Lite. Stock is not laminated but is synthetic.

You can get a Laminated stock Tikka T3 Lite and if not,
get a replacement stock to your liking, being it Classic
type, Thumbhole or whatever.

Hmmm! I did not know that. I assume that the laminated stock would increase the weight significantly? The synthetic stock brings it in at a little over 6 pounds I believe.

good luck finding a laminate tikka. They still are made, but Beretta dropped them from import. A few dealers have some on shelves, and there are a few for sale, but it's going to eat up most of the $1000 if you find one.

I bought two 308 Rugers with laminate factory stocks. One rifle shoots good, and I sold the other one, as a barreled action. I kept the stock to use on another project.
