Heym is quality stuff. Period! You have to bear in mind that a bold with lugs that lock either in the action or in the barrel as with most new European rifles is considered more reliable that a straight pull. The Sauer 202 is the most wanted rifle in the € 2000 up class in Europe nowadays!

I had an SR30 in 35Whelen. It was the carbine. It had the best iron sights I have ever used on a rifle. The rear was an pyramid shaped blade with a lemon colored flourescent verticle insert and the front was a height adjustable red flourescent . It is probably the quickest rifle I have ever used. the straight pull functions without fault and is QUICK. Safety is second to none. For shooting running game I don't think there is a better rifle out there. Wood was exceptional. Trigger was exceptionally smooth. Only problem was with heavy bullets in the Whelen it let you know in a positive manner that you had pulled the trigger. I wish I had it back, but I almost always do when I let a really good rifle go. In retrospect the rifle I traded it for was not nearly as good and is long since gone. Such is life. SCI Life Member NRA Patron Life Member DRSS
