Ida, my go to bullet in the .338-06 is the 210grNP @ 2700fps+. It hammers everything I've shot from little antelope to elk & zebra, only ever recovered one bullet. The 250gr anythings @ 2450fps are very accurate but I haven't hunted w/ them yet. Funny, I can not get my .338-06 to shoot the 225gr bullets well either, must be a barrel timing thing. Keep up the good work.
