Has anyone used this? Does it work to recheck your zero in the field? Are there better choices? http://cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?...=search-results1.jsp Thanks .............................................

Oldcoyote I have the previous model (no illuminated reticle) and it works well. It certainly can be used to recheck zero or change a scope if required provided you keep a diagram of where the crosshairs were on the grid after zeroing the rifle at the range. It would however still be an idea to fire a few shots to check it before using it in the field. A friend of mine who shoots benchrest, recently bought the model you are referring to and he is very impressed with it. Hope that helps.

OC I have the older version and it is well worth the $$. This one looks even better. They work well for bore sighting and rechecking in the field/after you arrive at your hunting destination. They make the older laser bore sighters obsolete. WN Fill your boots, man!

I have the older model and it works well but the graphing has no value in relation to inches on target. The new one appears to go one step further and actually is graphed/calibrated to correlate to inches on paper. Looks much better.

I have one exactly like the one in the Cabelas ad. In fact, I purchased it from Cabelas. I can't figure out how to use the damn thing. If you want to buy mine for $55 shipped I will sell it to you.
