A private sale - Dan Fraser rifle 7x64 (Brenneke) on a Mauser 98 action, double triggers, superb wood and a 1980s Zeiss scope with the typical German 3 sight picture ( 2 horizontal and 1 half middle ). Keltic engraving. Magazine 5. Pristine condition.

Will try and source pictures.

A stunning rifle.

I am very tempted!

Alf, That doesn't help me to say "no, I don't need this rifle!"

What you wrote fits the bill. It's an excellent piece of gun smithing.

Trouble is I have a 7x57 on order ! similar calibers .....

oldSo hunt the 7X57 and cherish the 7X64. Now wasn't that easy?

The Black Isle Dan'l Frasers that I have seen are indeed fine rifles. Some were made on Mannlicher-Schoenauer actions.

Did you buy the Mauser?

They are very nice rifles. A good friend has a 7x57 built on a South African Musgrave action. Celtic Engraving in action and rings. It’s very nice and shoots well.

7x64 is a very nice all round calibre.
