i just purchased a rem model 700 bdl 7mm mag the serial # is 121xxxit says stainless steel on the barrel below the caliber i paid $300 for the gun it's in the 95% range. with loopy scope mounts the scope is a bushnell buckhorn 3x9 it's worth about two cents..does anyone know how old this 700 is? thanks for you help

Is it a blued rifle marked stainless steel? I have one like that from 1968, about when Remington started producing stainless barrelled rifles.

There should be a letter prefix to the serial number which is needed to date the rifle. I think I have the date chart somewhere. I could look it up for you.
