7mm-08 120gr balistic tip question

Hey Henry, I understand your concept, but it Humbles me a good bit. I do like an Exit which helps avoid difficult tracking with hopefully two blood trails.

I prefer not to have to track at all.I haven't had to track any of my last few dozen at all, since not one made it 50 yards after being hit. Then again using high velocity rounds like the 7mmstw,and 300RUM has been a huge factor.

You gotta love all the internet experts, the question was about a specific bullet the 120gr Ballistic tip, NOT all ballistic tips.

This subject has been beaten to death on other sites like 24hourcampfire and people who have actually used the 120gr Ballistic tip ALL report the same thing, it just plain works and works on some pretty big game.

Then again what do they know? they havent killed bull elephants and six cape buffalo rotflmo

Apparently Nosler has beefed up this bullet quite a bit in recent years to accommodate silhouette shooter. The picture seems to bear this out.

Well I stand by my experience (and I did section my 120gr BT too) I like lots of BTs and have killed a very large number of deer with them. I still use BTs in lots of different calibres but I don't like this one.

MY experience was that they were VERY fragile indeed. When I tell you I shoot quite a few roe each year with 55gr 6mm BTs at 3,200fps and they give a better balance of penetration and expansion than the 120gr BT in 7mm at 3,000fps

That's it. Real life experience with the bullet in question by someone who isn't some whacko BT hating nutcase. Completely fxxxxg ignored as normal.

its all ive used for years, everything i have shot with a 120gn BT has died pretty quickly.

call me old fashioned but i would say that it is a bullet that works.
