.....and of course I do this with a week to go before hunting. My Dad handed down to me one of his prised Weatherby MK-V. He says it's one of the good ones because it's older and made in South Gate Cali. The trigger was really hard to pull so I thought I would screw it up today.

The trigger seems to have 2 allen screws, one facing forward and one facing back. Then it has one short one that tilts the whole trigger assembly front and back (kinda rocks it front and back). What I gather about the "seer" is that it is accessed on the top of the action, under the scope and I have not messed with that. What I am trying to figure out is how to get the trigger back where it should be but a little less heavy/creepy than it was. If it will help, I can post a pic but I figured that you guys would know. Thanks in advanced for the help!!!!!

Is that a true South Gate action. Made in Japans had South Gate on them.

But your trigger sounds different.

The "normal Mark V" has the trigger attached by a screw through the action which is seen by looking down on the action and is next to the sear adjustment screw. Weight of pull is from the bottom of the trigger.

The "rocking" of the trigger sounds like earlier Sakos. On the Sakos there was a screw that determined the position of the trigger....the trigger was held by a pin and the screw determined the angle of the triger...is this what you have?

I think you should post the picture.
