| .358,
I had the 7600 when it first came out in .35 Whelen and it was one of the nicest rifles I ever owned. My son is still using it. Can't speak for the 7400's but there was a thread here a few months back that Remington was doing a run this year of the 7600's in .35 Whelen. Might be worth checking. |

| I've owned two of them. One standard and one carbine. My brother currently has a standard one. They are decent but didn't offer the accuracy that I am used to with a bolt gun, so I sold mine. They are very scarce and command some $$$ these days.

| 358, There is a fellow on GunsAmerica.com that has a rebarreled Winchester Model 100 in .358. Sounds right up your alley!! It would be in my gun cabinet but you cannot use a semi's to hunt in Pennsylvania. I just picked up a 7600 in 35 Whelen. Pump guns & Pennsylvania go hand in hand. Good luck on your 7400 quest.....Tim |
