I use Speer 270gr round noses, mostly b/c they're cheap and now that i'm in college again, cheap is important. They go about 2300fps and change with IMR4350. If you go to reddingreloading.com you can look at all the calibers redding makes die sets for.

best way to get components for this is through Midway, last i looked they always offered something. Also, it'd probably be best to stock up as many of the components as you can as it's fairly obscure.

hope this helps, let me know if you need anymore info.

Barnes and Nosler are two common bullet makers that also produce 9.3's

Speer 270's are fine for most game there a good lookin pill and I shoot Aussie ferals with them no worries.

I have a cz 9.3 and it is a great rifle one of my favourites, I have not done that much with it yet though. I have a leupold VX11 2-7 on it in warne fixed.

Lapua brass is great.

Here's some bullets and prices

Look no further than H414 and GM210M or WLR primers. Norma and Lapua brass are both top notch.

Picked up a 9.3x62 LUX model with sights a few weeks ago.
Bought REDDING dies from GRAF's. They also threw in some 270 Speers, some Lapua brass and some 250 Nolser BT's. With RL15 and the 250's its VERY accurate.

Need to try some 286 Partitons.

So far I really like the rifle. I already have a .338-06 so REALLY didn't NEED it, but wanted to try one anyway. Just scratched the surface with it but so far I can see why people like the rifle and the caliber.

Thanks for the replys guys , The CZ 9.3x62 rifle sounds like a good choice. I have a CZ 527 and realy like it. Ive wanted get a 550 in some caliber but I already have 2 270s , 2 30-06s and several 6.5x55s and the 9.3x62 is growing on me because I need a 338 plus size rifle.

I bought a 550 American in 9.3x62 from a board member. I have a 550 Safari Mag in Rigby as well.

There has been lots of nasty comments about both the LUX and American stocks. The LUX stock seems to really need some adjustment of angles to properly deliver high recoil to the shoulder properly. Shooting one 416 with and one without the changes is astonishingly different.

The American stock on the 9.3 shoots very well. Recoil seems minimal and the rifle shoots very well ... so I would not be afraid of buying one.

The 9.3 seems to be very easy to load for. the board member recommendations have been strong for H414 and for RL-15. I had some RL-15 and so used it. First load was a mid range load with Speer 270s just for cheap deer ammo. Even having no experience with this rifle, it printed around an inch at 100 and I could actually tell when I had one that would be out a little. Recoil was moderate, and noise is not bad at all.

Am very pleased with the 9.3. Have fun with yours!

I like my 9.3X62 a lot, it's accurate and seems to kick very lightly for the power it offers.

For bullets here in the US you get the Speer for target and light deer. Then every thing else is the good stuff with two bullets from Nosler and two from Barnes you should be able to come up with a recipe for most anything with hair.

Mine (550 American) seems to prefer IMR4895 with whatever bullet I try.

Nosler's 250 B-Tips offer excellent accuracy at around 2600 FPS, and Norma's 232 "Oryx" (got mine at Graf's; a bit pricey, tho..) bonded core bullet shoots quite well indeed. Norma recommends them for everything up to moose, so, they should handle about anything in NA, I'd 'spect.

Nosler makes some excellent bullets for the 9.3mm, 286 gr partition and 250 grain ballistic tips. Barnes makes 3 bullets, Swift makes two, Lapua makes two, Norma makes several, if you can find them, same for RWS (which I love), and there is the reliable old Speer 270 grain. Have had my best luck with Norma N201 and IMR-4350 powders.

Buy your components from Midway, Graf & Sons, Wideners, or Natchez. Shop all four suppliers via the web and go for the one with the best price. Definitely use only Norma 9.3x62mm brass, unless Hornaday comes thru with their brass.

Definitely use only Norma 9.3x62mm brass I don't know, LLS. The Lapua brass I got from MidSouth is pretty darn nice stuff. Less than 1.5 grain weight variation in 200 cases.

Lapua is the best brass on the Market followed by Norma IMO....RWS is good brass.

Barnes makes 250, 286 gr. bullets, Woodleigh makes 250, 286, 300 and 320 bullets, Nosler makes 250 BAl. Tips and 286 gr. partitions, Swift makes 250 and 300 gr., Speer makes a .270 gr, north fork makes 9.3 bullets, RWS, GS customs, Kodiak and others make bullets......

I think Redding makes dies, I know RCBS does and thats what I use with satisfaction.

Rl-15 followed by H414 are the only real choices of powder for the 9.3x62

Swift Reloading manual has loads for the 9.3x62
