Thanks for the input Kudude. You are very fit for any age! BTW, 3.2 kgs = 7 pounds not 6.5 as someone posted. I would like NOT to put a scope on this rifle, which is why I was looking for the heaviest 9.3x62 bolt made. No one has answered my original question about weight, but since then I've taken a look at the CZ and didn't think the fit and finish was quite what I want. The Sake 75 looked good, though.

Buy yourself any 9.3 you like and weight it down with lead or a recoil reducer in the butt stock. I had a 375 HH M 70 classic with the tupperware stock. Kicked pretty good with a 1.5 Weaver on it, total weight around 9 plus or minus. I drilled a hole and filled the hollow butt stock with lead shot and wellah, bench shooting was very pleasant. For carrying, I just emptied out the shot. Now I have a Richards Microfit classic laminated on it with a 1.5x6 Swaro - accurate and comfortable to shoot, but total weight around 10 pounds. This is pretty heavy to carry in the mountains for elk, but I figured out my elk hunting is now going to be from horseback - my bypass work just hasn't responded the way I thought it would. I also had a Rem 700 375 with syn stock and 2x7 Leupold. Total weight under 9. A little wicked on the bench with 300 Noslers at 2500, but not bad in the field. A great elk rifle. I am 63, weigh 160. The 10 pound 375 works fine after the bypass surgery and the stock was a big improvement.
