I'll second the thought that a 77 RSM rifle in a smaller action size chambered for established useful big game cartridges might be a pretty good seller for Ruger. PC, Just don't shoot any of those 320gr Woodleigh's into the ground, it might come out here in the USA!!

Rick, I have only managed to shoot about a dozen roo's with it to date all with the speer 270 gr bullet that bullet is not as soft as people say, given it's not a cape buff bullet but it would be fine on pigs, deer, and is fine on roo's I have managed to hit some heavy bone (hip and spine) and have got exits, roo's are heavily built around around the hip area. The speer would work well for most deer except our larger sambar. It certainly was a drama to get it here, I have ordered another gun not in the country and this will be a while coming to I think. It is a 1886 winnie reproduction in the Extra lite configuration (45/70) Rick I f I where to go to Africa with my 9.3x62 the two bullets I would consider using would be either the woodleigh 286 gr protected point (new addition) or the woodleigh 320 gr RN. I reckon both bullets would have real potential for Africa. I wonder how much trajectory would be affected by going to the heavy 320 gr woodleigh

PC I'm using Nosler partitions for hunting and Speer soft points for practice. Pushing both of them out of the barrel with the same load of Varget. So far I've only shot one deer but I'm going to try to up that score this May on S. Africa's plains game. The Barnes 285gr X's shoot nice too, but there are no plans in the near future for any game that would warrant them, I may eventually go after Moose or Elk or big Bear or something. I expect you've racked up a few kills with that CZ after you managed to will it into the Country. We all felt your pain with how long it took to get there. Rick
