I own a X-Bolt Stainless Stalker in .308 Win. and really like it.

Good trigger
Detachable Magazine
Good stock
High accuracy

Out of the box a better hunting rifle than my Remington 700 SPS Tac or my Howa 1500. With the high prices in Germany of the Remington you get a X-Bolt for almost the same price.

My hunting partner had a 300wsm X-bolt and it shot great. It really liked 180gr NP.

I have something bad to say about the X-Bolt lineup.....Each and every one of them that I have seen has the bolt on the wrong side of the rifle thumbdown I'm sure the recall notice will be posted here soon.

I have had one on loan from Browning in .22-250. That thing is about as accurate a rifle out of the box as I have fired.

My only complaint is the box mag - limits OAL for handloads. On the other hand, you won't ever have a problem with double feeding.

Hey Another....

If it's the most accurate rifle out of the box you've shot, who cares how close you can get to the rifling????

In my experience, all the box magazine Browning rifles shoot the rounds loaded to magazine length BETTER than rounds loaded at longer OAL that try to reach the lands.

At first, I modified my mag boxes to accept longer ammo. I soon found that the mag length ammo shot the most accurately................
