Are Remingtons 100% American made? Just read on 24 hour campfire that they moved some of thier production overseas. It was my understanding that they all were made in New York and Kentucky. If this is true it is a shock to me. < !--color-->

This a quote from Rem. Consumer Services, "All our firearms are made in America", I then asked if any parts are made oversea, no. Jay

I'm not sure where the rifles are made, but the term "America" includes about a dozen countries.

Some Remingtons may be made overseas but that's the first I heard of it. Plenty of stuff gets started like that.

I heard a S&W rep. say that they were making the 700 barreled actions now.

Jay Gorski, Thanks for the reply. It didn't sound right to me that some Remingtons were made over seas, didn't want to believe that.I do have a Weatherby Vangaurd made in Japan, that took a little while to get used to, but it is a very good rifle. < !--color-->
