Can someone tell me:

Were the NH/CT mfg rifles made w/a 1 piece bolt/handle? As I thought they used to advertise it as such.

I just spoke to Winchester and the current rifle IS a 2 piece so wondering if that process changed in mfg. design.

Thanks in advance.

The Model70's I have are the classic CRF and the bolt is two piece if you consider the handle. It is pressed on and silver soldered, I think. Ruger bolt and handle are supposed to be a one piece, and I don't know if it is cast or forged.

Ruger is one peice and cast, Wichester bolt body has always been one peice unlike Savage or some others which can be up to four or five peices brazed together. Handles on all bolts are generaly seperate peice though unless cast.
Cheers
