| I am slower than most guys due to a short barrel ( mine is 22") But I am getting in the mid 2900's with 180 SGK and IMR 4831 and around 3050 with 180 Accubonds and 75.5 gr of RL 22.

| With a 26" barrel 3150 is a reasonable velocity to expect. |

| Based on reloading for 7 different 300 win mags (all with 24" barrels), I would say that you could work up to between 3100 fps to 3200 fps without pressure signs.

| My last 300 win was a 26" mod 70 and would shoot 180's at 3150.

| I'm shooting a Browning Stainless Stalker with a 26" barrel. I shoot 180 grain Nosler Accubonds over 76.0 grains of RL22. I am getting an average of 3,184 fps.
I have shot 180 grain Scirocco's and 180 grain Partitions over IMR 4831, both for about 3,160 fps.
I have also shot 200 grain Accubonds over H1000 for 3,000 fps.
In my experience, 3,100 out of a 24" tube or 3,150 out of a 26" tube, with proper powders should be attainable. |
