i acquired a rem 700 LH.It was converted from 30-06 to 308 norma mag absolutley beautiful.My question is how do you tell if it is adl,bdl and what are the differences between them if all rem's are as good as this one i've been missing out a long time i'll try to borrow a camera and try to post pictures

The stock was the main diff. and some of the later BDL. had some engraving work on the action, Now that you have A .308 Norma mag. did you change the BBL. or do you sill have the 22in. on it. And what will the FPS. gain be over the 30-06.

The ADLs have a blind box magazine.

As luckyducker said, the ADL has a blind box magazine (there will be no metal past the triggergard) where the BDL will have bottom metal (floorplate) that is push the button in the triggergard and you can empty the mag into your hand.
Everything else is purely cosmetic.

I got a new 700bdl last year that just needs a scope.It is chambered for the 300RUM.
