Hi guys

am looking at having one of the two above build me a custom mountain rifle for sheep hunting in BC / AK / Asia - something in the .30's or maybe a 7mm-08

But, does anyone have an experience with both of them? I have not been able to shoot either (and won't make the shows this year - due to a hunting tripSmiler), so gotta make up my mind...

Any insights or comments would be much appreciated!
Thanks
Orvar

I've got a Brown Precision 7mm-08 that weighs 5.8 lbs with a Leupold 3x9 compact on it, but it may already be sold.

I have never used Rifles Inc. I did use MG and would try Rifles Inc if I was building another one.

As usual just my $.02

Like I said I've used MG Arms. If I was going to have another light rifle built I would go to Rifles Inc.

I have two rifles from MG Arms and they are super rifles and extremely accurate. tu2 They will build you a rifle from either a Remington 700 action or a Winchester Model 70 action. I prefer the Winchester action. Because of my decision on the first rifle, two friends of mine have purchased two each from MG Arms. I would have a stable of them if I was a bit younger. Big Grin

If you have not started the wheels in motion, there is a very nice rifle by MGA for sale at Hendershot's Sporting Goods. It is in 7 STW. Now that's a mountain rifle. It is used but appears very nice at a reasonable price. It is shown on their web site.

No one I know can trim a remington action up like lex at rifles inc. I own two, 280 AI in titanium strata with swaro Z3, and 300 Win mag in stainless strata topped with a Swaro Z5. Probably the only two rifles I shoot here in AK.
