Not sure if that is the right way to put it.I looked at one the other day and the trigger could be pushed ahead slightly to significantly lighten the pull.I have never seen this before. It seemed nice has anyone tried this??The barrel seemed nicely blued as well.Big beefy open sights the only gripe I had with the rifle was the rough machining job on the bolt.Bolt was nice to disassemble.Seemed like a nice rifle.

Hi: I own two CZs, one a CZ American in 7x57mm and the other a CZ 527 Lux in .223. Both have the "single set trigger." The regular trigger is highly adjustable. I have mine set right at 3#. The set part, when you push the regular trigger forward until it clicks, is a mere 12-ounce trigger pull. The Lux version comes with iron sights, the American version has no sights. These rifles are exceedingly accurate. My 7mm goes .5 inch groups at 100 yards using 162 grain Hornady SSTs scooting out of the barrel at 2,800-plus feet per second. Go to the search mode and type in CZ and you's get an eyefull of these rifles. If you go to HuntAmerica and go to the gunsmithing sight, also hit the search and type in CZ, one of the threads will be written by JBelk, a well respected gunsmith. It is a long thread, but really gives the straight skinny on these wonderful rifles. By the way, my CZ 527 Lux is giving me .5 inch groups without much handloading tweeking. The best part is, under that horrible finish CZ puts on its rifles, are some of the prettiest factory wood I have seen. It is Turkish Walnut wood. Hope this helps ... Tom Purdom [Big Grin]

When I first encountered this trigger, I was sure I wouldn't like it.

I was completely wrong.

I couldn't feel any difference from a conventional trigger when used in the regular position.

When you push the trigger forward into the 'set' position, it is absolutely excellent for shootign at the bench. I wouldn't hunt with it int he set position, though. MAybe if I was setting in for a ong shot from a rest, only.

I think Ray once commented that all set triggers are exceptional for shooting at running game, and that is why it was designed.

My CZ is a delight to shoot wether I use the set trigger or not. You will love your CZ. My 9.3x62 has been my favorite gun for a while now.
