Hello all,

Maybe this should be in gunsmithing, but I have a sight mounted weaver base on a K31 that is a bit short. I would like to have a longer platform to mount a scope on.

I want a little more room to move a scope back and forth and the platform being only 5" scout mount I don't have much space to move it back.

Are there any rail-type mounts that can be added to a weaver base so that I have more room to mount the scope more forward or back if necessary?

Thanks,
Mark.

PS: It's kind of a complicated project. I'm working on a bullpup K31 so the scout mount used actually will line up a regular scope fairly well, but I may plan on the scope being just in front of the bolt/ejection port depending on eye relief allowance.

I don't know about a different rail, but extension rings could give you another 1/2 to 3/4 inch in either direction. Weaver made a set at one time but I'm not sure if they still do or not. I haven't seen a set in a store in a long time. You might be able to find something used though. good luck

Cheers,
Jason

But what do I know?
