Any of you ever replace the plastic trigger guard/floor plate with the aluminum one made by Coquille Valley Machine Works? It's half the price of the steel Heritage model sold by Brownell's.

I just ordered one and wondered if it fit your inletting without alteration.

I haven't heard of this one but it sounds interesting. Those M600/660's have almost a cult like following in the Pacific Northwest.

Just go to ebay and search "Remington Model 600 Trigger Guard," and the listing will come up. (Don't screw up and buy one of the originals they have listed.)

I got notice of shipment and a tracking number with 45 minutes of my purchase.

Several years ago I bought a steel one from Sportsmans Guide that was reasonably priced. Don't know if they still carry them.

I bought a steel one years ago but don't remember who from. It fit just a little bit different at the front so it wasn't flush. I did some minor inletting to get it to sit right. Still glad I replaced it though.

Cougarz - I love mine in .308 and it sees as much use as anything else and several put together. Great for the thick dark woods.

Willie's(Coquille Valley Machine) CNC'd anodized aluminum Rem 600/660 trigger guards are second to none.

I just bought one for my 660 in 308 from Coquille Valley Machine. It is a great replacement for the plastic guard.

I looked at the steel one for big $$$. Then ended up buying another plastic one from a catalog for $4.00. Figured the original was still functional (but a little warped ) after almost 50 years. I won't last another 50 years... so I'll let the next owner worry about it.
