Quote: Why buy a Remington, when there are millions of M98's that are superior actions?
By the time you buy a M 98, turn the bolt handle, drill and tap the action, put a new trigger and safety on it, and put a decent stock on it, you might as well buy the Remington.
Now if the M 98 barrel is shot out, then a new barrel is next, and that is another $200 plus reblueing.
But if anybody wants to trade their no-good Remington 8 x 57, I'll send you a M 98.
