Dear all

Disappointingly after taking my order and confirming the go ahead in starting to make my stock for my Sako 85 SM action, I recently recieved this email from McMillan.

"Jon,

We can not manufacture the stock you ordered on 6-3-2008, with your action being here. We are cancelling your order as of 7-2-08. Sorry but there is no way to do the custom work required with out your action and I do not believe there is any way to get your action into the United States.

Lynne"

It is disappointing and thought they could have told me this from the out set. It actually took them 4 weeks to come back to me to give me the news. My thoughts are that surely if they have done it for one SM action they could then just produce the stock from that mould or whatever.

Would be great to hear anybodys thoughts on this but my main question is what alternatives are out there for the Sako 85?

I wish Bell & Carlson produced one but they don't. ANy feedback/suggestions would be greatfully recieved.
