Hi all, I just saw 2 Voere rifles from Austria at my local gun store, one standard LBW model and one De Luxe LBW model, there is also available a take down model. Problem is I don't know anything about them, if anyone could help, it would be great. Are they good guns? Are the actions strong? What kind of price range do they run? You know the normal stuff. Thanks, Ingvar Johann

Ingvar, Voere rifles are made in Kufstein in Austria. The brand has a long and celebrated tradition, but the current production line is pretty new, and was created after the company came out of bankrupcy. I'm only familiar with the old Voere rifles, which were of good quality. This page: Voere Firearms Page might be of interest... - mike ********************* The rifle is a noble weapon... It entices its bearer into primeval forests, into mountains and deserts untenanted by man. - Horace Kephart

Boy has it been a long time since I've heard that name. That new 2155 looks like a nice rifle. The older one's were very nice too, don't know why they went away? With modern firearms, I think all are well made but some are pretter than other's, some better suited to different things.

I don´t think you can really wrong with a Voere but most new factory rifles aren´t made in the old tradition of gunmaking -just look at Win, Sako, Rem etc. They´ll do the job but quality was better in the 60´s

The Austrian Voere was never bankrupt. It was the West German Voere Voerenbach, The one that produced tht Titan models
