I have a fairly lightweight .338, a Remington stainless mountain rifle. It really beats up the tips on the bullets in the magazine, exposed lead tips get it worse than BTs. So I ran an experiment, and shot some groups with the deformed bullets. At 100 yards I couldn't see a difference in group size between pristine and battered bullets. I really like the 200 grain Nosler BTs for a deer bullet. I've shot at least a dozen whitetails with them. Good Luck

I have settled on using the 210 Nosler for most stuff, and the 300 gr. Woodleigh for bigger stuff...Those two bullet always work....
