I guess I shouldn't complain. My brother (the greatest I could ever hope for) bought me a CZ 550 American 7X57. It's a beautiful rifle, HOWEVER I wish it had the LUX stock. I know, I know everyone else hated them, but I love that stock on my 416 Rigby. I have two options, (1) order a new stock from them or if anyone has a LUX stock they hate, I'll trade. Help

Hack..lots of folks around here replace their nice wood stock with synthetic so the nice wood doesn't get beat up hunting. Then if you ever decide to sell you do a little blueing touch up, slip on the as-new wood and she looks good as new. Just a thought.

I agree, the hogs back is fine I have a lux stock on my 9.3 cz and it feels great like a .410 shotgun to point and swing.

Hacksaw,

I have a takeoff stock from my CZ .416 Rigby. If it will fit, you can have it for $60.00 plus shipping.

Sometimes I suspect the folks from the Czech Republic are poking fun at us when they label those things "American" stocks. Either that, or "American" translates in Czech to
"Hideous".

They did the same thing with the ZKK series of rifles...and the "American" stock was the ugliest thing ever put on a rifle, while the "European" stock was a very nice classic form.

My long-held, secret-'til-now, opinion.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder, the Lux is the worst abortion of stock making I have ever seen, but the europeans always over engineered everything....Only Roy Weatherbys hump back whale stock can compete with the lux IMO, both sorrid examples of the stockmakers art in my eyes....but from a function standpoint the lux also fails as it directs recoil in an improper fashion and all in one direction, up.
