An apple a day keeps the doctor away ........ not if its been cold stored in CO2 for 4 months as often happens...........carrots too.

A lot to be said for local grown/sourced meat & veg

the only critique I offer about the article is regarding the comment about what you eat influences your state of health.
most recent science identifies the role of biotics embedded & populating the gut wall in transforming particular types of food into particular compounds supporting human heath.
Soooooo.........if you don't have the right gut population eating the right food does not necessarily generate the needed particular compounds from that food-gut interaction supporting health.
An emerging very very important understanding of the mechanism of human health.

Not sure about the credibility of his information for the article.
As someone who has worked in the beef industry for almost fourty years (both federal and provincial plants) I do know that the initial shrinkage on the hot carcass can be substantial, and the federal plants have been spraying cold water on the hanging sides to assist in a faster chill to the meat, as well as off-set the shrink loss during that critical time. Laws (at least in Canada) are in place to insure that the carcass cannot gain weight during this process.
To make the comment as "fact" that the meat is borderline "enemic" is total hogwash (no pun intended!) This has all the markings of a vegan funded agenda gone wild!!

I am vegan, others would consider it eating meat, but I eat steaks etc to hydrate myself.

For the same reason he has a bow topic here in medium bores, he doesn't want to post anywhere else.

Im off carrots now! I will just shoot my cow elk on the predatory hunts, for meat and a bull on my regular tag is I take a notion, but seldom do..A cow elk last me and mama a year now or close..The kids are big enough to shoot their own, most of them prefer beef anyway.

Again ?
Collect (harvest it) yourself, butcher it yourself , don’t add anything to it & do’t worry a/b it !

Hydell, where sre are you ‘harvesting’ salmon in TX?

I’ve harvested alot of seafood in TX, but never salmon.

And I, from Big & Odd Lots.

'Retard Central' is what they ought to rename that store.
