That is a fine rifle and excellent caliber. With that, you basically have a one gun arsenal and it's all you really need. But one rifle is simply unthinkable, isn't it? Wink

The "jury" will disregard Doc's last statement. Let it be stricken from the record.

Carry on. clap

Its Ok to have more than one custom as it is more than one woman...once they come to terms with the fact that they will never be the only one, they settle on the matriach pleasure of being your #1, true or not, just keep telling them that, and Uwill do just fine.
U just need to give them the impression that they they are in charge- and then you can have as many rifles as you want, cause secrectly they fear the other bitches(imaginary or real) snapping at her heels for the position. Its in her own interest to look after your interests, so most likely she wont do too much to try and upset ya.... Big Grin

That is a nice looking rifle indeed. How does it shoot for you? Oh yeah, how much does it weigh?

I was thinking about Custom rifles just the other day. Did you give Mr. Penrod any specifics on how you wanted the Chamber cut, or just let him pick?

Really nice outfit!

Hey Trax, Lots of "wisdom" in your post. clap

It weighs 9.5 lbs. Mark was getting sub. .5 groups at 100 yards with factory ammo. I had him make the chamber for factory ammo. I am going to finish breaking in the barrel tommorow.

WOW!
What a stellar rifle!! thumb
Every detail of that rifle is perfection.
They just don't get any better than that.

Edit to add: I sure like the Leupold scope covers on the front and rear glass! They have to be the very best design going.

Although the word may be slightly inappropriate, I would describe that rifle as being VERY sanitary.... Big Grin

Even the plastic is very nicely done, but it's beauty demands fine wood.

I have two FN Mausers done by him in the picture at left. His work is really first rate. You won't soon get over the high of owning and using it, or even just looking at it. Working up new loads becomes the hobby. Hunting with the piece is like icing on the cake.
Well done. Congratulations!

ED,
At 9.5lbs would that be with std. or magnum(2.5lb) fill stock?

All of the M70 Classics had a blind screw rear tang from the factory.

EDMHUNTER,

Your rifle looks to be superb, just as anything out of Mark's shop.
