My wife has a Blaser! I purchased it on her license so officially it's hers!

But I do have a Mauser 66 being the forerunner of Blaser on my license.

So I guess I am keeping my closet door closed for the moment Wink

I think you just opened it. Coming out is the modern culture, but I still believe in don’t ask, don’t tell when it comes to straight pulls.

Remember, the more your sub culture is incorporated by the main culture the less special, you become.

Are you guys going to have a Straight Pull Pride Parade at DSC?

Are the R 93's bad rifles? I saw one offered with 2 barrels and 2 Schmidt & Bender scopes for $4999. I thought of this thread when I saw it

I own Blasers, I like them. ... They are kind of pretty.

This. THIS right here is the statement that proves the Blaser rot has set it. Once you start to thinking Fugly is actually pretty, you've gone over the edge and probably beyond help.

It's kind of like saying Janis Joplin was pretty.

I mean, with beer goggles on, this might slip through the attractive/not attractive filter:

But once the beer goggles come off, you're left with:

Come back Ross. Come Back. That light you are moving toward is actually a train!

Cool

I will try, I will try....
Is there a 12 step program for this?????

Like she would have wanted a 60 year old with a pot belly anyway...

Funny how often guys making comments about women's appearances are not exactly what women find attractive themselves, but I guess that is AR.

In answer to this question as an owner of a couple of R93's I would say they are not bad rifles. I have only handled the successor R8 version but I prefer the R93 which is a bit lighter and less bulky. The R8 was apparently a safer and strengthened design.
The Blaser R93 is a well made, innovative ? switch barrel system that keeps unchanged POI between barrel changes. The pluses are good portability in a small case for travel, good trigger and rapid round recycling with the straight pull bolt, shorter overall rifle length, well balanced. Downsides are - spendy for what you get ( buy used, much better value ), a little heavy, aesthetics ( if that bothers anyone ), expensive parts for add-ons.
Blasers have been promoted as a step up to something superior for the discerning rifleman / hunter and while they have sold successfully not everybody has bought this line. As an owner I say Blasers are just another option in times when anything desired in a rifle is available for the asking. No better or worse than many other very good rifles out there.

I have never thought anyone carrying a Blaser was gay !

What appeals a lot is the takedown design and ease of small carry case when flying.
