They can call me anything they want....it's my vote and I (and I alone) will decide how to cast it!
If it just happens to coincide with millions of other voters so be it.....fuck-em.

If he's so worried about gun safety shouldn't the action on his rifle be open?

dwheelsI will ad to my post over on the gunsmith forum. I feel badly for the employees of Cooper. They stand to loose the most. It looks like the board has more or less canned Dan Cooper but its to little, too late.

LUXi doubt that Cooper really left the company. It looks like damage controll to me. I feel for the employees. I see a flood of Coopers for sale on gun broker and other sites. Im going to sell mine asap. Might just burn them and video it to make a point.
This makes me sick.

PeterHey guys! Let me know what caliber and model Coopers you have. Sounds like you really want to dump them. I will be happy to take them off your hands if the price is right.
Peter.

404WJJefferyHere's a copy of my email to them today..
Sir or Madam:
I have purposefully waited for time before responding to the startling news of Dan Cooper's support of Barack Obama.
I read that Mr. Cooper has been asked to step down, and I also read a press release wherein the USA Today article was characterized as misleading in that Mr. Cooper's contribution was actually an effort to defeat Hillary Clinton, and that Mr. Cooper has contributed more funds to John McCain.
In my opinion, your attempts at spin and damage control have failed. Mr. Cooper, I read, still owns 51% of the company, and still profits from its success. I think it is ingenuous to "snow" the public and argue that Mr. Cooper really wasn't trying to aid Mr. Obama, but simply trying to defeat Hillary Clinton.
Mr. Cooper's actions have done irreparable harm to the rights of gun owners by providing a convincing talking point to those who wish to restrict our access to lawful firearms and lawful firearms ownership.
In response, we, as the consuming public, can only vote with our dollars, and refuse to do business with Cooper Firearms, and refuse to buy any used Cooper Firearms, with the hope that soon your business will be, like the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, "consigned to the dustbin of history".
Unfortunately employees at Cooper firearms not involved in this debacle will lose their livelihoods, and that is regrettable, but unavoidable. They should take the matter up with Mr. Cooper. A better strategy is to read the writing on the walls, and shut the business down now, sell the assets to the employees and let them start a new firm, perhaps named 'From My Cold Dead Hands".
Thank you
