"many of the choicest ones have been sold to American collectors"

A few years ago just prior to the new gun laws in Canada, I had several dealers calling me every few months with ZGs and 21/22s, owners trying to get rid of them. Now that the laws are in effect, haven't heard much, apparently much harder to make legal transfers now.

Kutenay,

In all good humor what would you do to this one?

I wish one of the gun magazines would do a full article on these Brno (CZ) rifles produced since WWII. They've made some fascinating rifles, and yet most of us do not know the history of the firearms or the company producing them. I've heard only good things about them over the years. I had a Brno .22 Hornet that was one sweet little rascal. Best wishes.

Perhaps Alf could write such an article providing he can find time between hunting & surgery? There was an article in American Rifleman not too long ago on Brno firearms that was fairly accurate and informative.

ZKW-465's, 21/22's & ZG-47's weren't made at the CZ factory, they were produced by ZB, also in Brno. The ZKK series which followed the ZG-47's in the mid 60's were made by CZ, then the current 550 series. The old ZB firm is in receivership but still produces guns although not on the scale of CZ.

Kutenay,

The mount shown will allow windage adjustments by moving the rings side to side. Take the mount off and you will see the ring attachment screws underneath.
