Buddy of mine is trying to sell a Win. Model 70 Featherweight. It is a 30/06 15-20 years old, some wear but overall in good shape. It has a 3x9 Leupold Vari-X II on it. Would like some ballpark values on it.

I would guess that its a push feed one, from the 1980's so with out a copy of the Blue Book of Gun Values in hand, You would be in the ball park with a $275 to $375 . Your best bet is to get a copy of the book.

If its pushfeed, then $250 to $275 tops..the scope is worth $125. If the gun shows wear then discount another $100 on both.....So about $300.00 would be my guess without seeing the gun.

I am not a dentist, but I would do any dental work your friend needs done for the a direct trade of that rifle. Or minor surgery on any house pets. [Big Grin]
Take care

My Blue Book#22 list's it at the below.
60%-240$,70%-260$,80%-280$,90%-300$95%-325$,98%-380$,100%-435$,and you Can to these if the Butt Pad is marked Winchester, without the U.S.R.A being on it,How much it doesn't Say.

I think 300$ is a little CHEAP without looking at the gun, that is if the scope is going with it as the Vari X II goes for 100$ to 175$ used around my neck of the woods.

I would say 350$ to 450$ would be a little better.

Tiny, thanks for the update on prices. This gun is in between 95-98% great looking gun. The scope is staying on it. Buddy is leaning towards just keeping it, not worth selling it. Doesnt need the money just had more guns than he wanted at the moment. If I had use for an 06 I would buy it but since I have a .280 and just bought a .300 Weatherby. I can cover about anything the 06 might be needed for. Thanks for all the info.
