Remington 760 saddle mount??

I have a first year 760 in .35REM that is in very good original condition...no extra holes. That being the case I hate to D&T it for a peep sight or scope bases. Was a saddle mount ever made for the 760 or can a 870 shotgun version fit or be modified to fit??? Any ideals or options would be appreciated.

Yes, you can buy the 870 mount that uses longer pins on the reciever. These are still available today. Too bad I am out of country until April. I have an extra one I could send you.
