I have posted this in a couple of other places, but it bears repeating. Graf & Sons has worked with Hornady to bring out hunting ammo and components for several metric military rifle cartridges of WWII vintage. They include the 6.5 and 7.7 Arisaka, the 7.5 Swiss and the 7.5 French (I think). I emailed jeff@grafs.com to thank them for this, and to ask that they do the same thing with 9.3x62 Mauser ammo. Jeff replied that the military ammo program is going better than expected, and that they plan to add other calibers soon. He said the 9.3x62 is under serious consideration, and promised to forward my email to those who might influence the decision. I immediately emailed Hornady to thank them and to ask for 9.3x62 Mauser ammo. I think we all know the deal. The only reason Hornady is making this ammo is that Grafs has said they will buy enough of it to make the deal profitable for Hornady. Grafs is willing to do that because they know there are a lot of rifles out there for this ammo and they are willing to bet that shooters will buy it. At this point, we all need to tell Hornady and Grafs (and Federal and Winchester and Remington) that we have 9.3x62 rifles and that we want to use them with their ammo. I've done what I can so far; now it's your turn. Hope this helps, Okie John. | ||
