My primary objection to your post was the energy argument... I notice you've conveniently ignored your ACTUAL argument.



Obviously a line has to be drawn somewhere as to what constitutes a rational/meaningful jump up (or down) in caliber. I frankly can't fathom Olin going to the staggering expense to release a new cartridge only to make the marginal .015" jump to 8mm. Beyond .308" a more meaningful jump would have been .338 or, better yet, .358... they'd have had something then. As it stands one might say they have, in essence, a "Metric 300 Magnum."



Anyone who thinks this cartridge offer's anything a 300 WSM deosn't alreday offer is a Gold Medalist in The Mental Gymnastic's...
