I have blaser r93 30-06. win brass x1 full re size. 168 tsx, imr 4350 55.5, .030 from lands. runs mid 2800s, just what the barnes book says it should do. Prints just outside 1". If I go to .015 from lands, groups get to almost clover leaf, but running 2900, give or take 10fps. no sighns of pressure that I can see. What say ye? By the way, I have been expermenting with the tsx from .015 to .005 from the lands, and have found accuracy in rifles that I had no luck with using the suggested .030 to .070 recomendations in the barnes book.

I would go with the sub MOA group & watch for any pressure signs.

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

People used to shoot the TSX mostly on the lands, then some shooter found that in their rifles they shot better off the lands.

I would shoot them where ever my rifle told me to, no where some book told me to.

As long as you don't run into any pressure problems (and assuming you know what to look for), in a particular rifle you can run above max loads. Not for the timid but if it works, it works. I have also found most loads to be most accurate seated very close to the rifling as long as they will fit in the mag.

I'd say back off 1 or 2 grains and see what your velocity does. If it's erratic it's telling you something...
