I brought a older remington 760 3x9 simmons on it. I belive 1950 something out side shows wear but as with most hunting rifles I don't think it has been shot a lot. I torn it completely down and oiled and cleaned it up looks very good now. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet no ammo with it I refuse to buy factory rounds when I have a couple hundred rounds of brass and dies sitting on the self. Most likely will not get around to ordeing bullets untill Dec sometime Deer season starts saturday so more inportant things are coming. Should be a fun rifle to play with and for 250 dollars not to bad of a buy.

It should be a great hunting rifle. I have owned 2- 760s that vintage and they did good. roger . Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Sometimes age comes alone..
