I've only had one experience with them on big game and it wasn't good. My friend had used them in his 264 on Texas and Lousianna whitetail. He had good luck but, they did a lot of meat damage. He took that load with us to Colorado Elk hunting. Shot a real nice bull at 50 yds in the chest. I saw the impact and it appeared to leave a huge entry hole. We trailed the Bull for about a mile, he was leaving a very light blood trail before, he dropped down into a canyon we couldn't follow. After that he changed to partitions. They worked great the next year.

Anyone had any experience with the 140gr Sierra BT. They have been very accurate in my rifles. And they have worked very well on small deer (read does) with broadside shots. But I am reluctant to use them on big deer where the shot angle may be less than ideal due to the reputation of Sierra Boat Tails at high velocity. Would be very interested to hear anyone's real life experiences with this bullet. Thanks, Jim
