fordnutterSako finnlite owners / Experts needed
Can anyone tell me if the newer 85 finnlite still uses the same barrel contour as the older 75 model? I see the lengths have changed slightly but were curious to see where sako made it weight savings from on the new model. Can anyone elaborate on this?

MileHighShooterI remember someone posting a video or an article that REALLY detailed the difference between the two. There is a bit of metal gone/shaved in the action, as well as the recoil lugs.

Fish30114Fordnutter, the contour is Slightly smaller on the 85. The whole rifle has been slimmed down. The stock is trimmer and lighter, no palm swell in the grip. A slightly more open grip. The bolt handle itself is smaller. The recoil lugs are different designs, but now real weight savings there. In short it is just a trimmer lighter package across the board. Every damn one I have is an awesome shooter, with little to NO load development. I like them more and more as time goes by, and I am a die hard 75 fan.
A finnlight in 85 would be a great package!
