I adore the 338 Lapua.

I am trying to decide if I want to get back into the R8 rifles.

I also like the Grodas stocks that are made in Norway. I had one on a Howa 1500.

So for me it is a natural to join the two together.

If I buy a R8 GRS in 338 Lapua is it like the LRS2 that could only shoot one caliber? Or Can I swap the 338 tube for a 6mm XC tube and fire away?

No one knows?

I think the only choice for a switch barrel is the new 300 Norma Magnum. Not a bad option though.

If Blaser is at Dortmond, I'll find a fellow Anglophile and ask the question. My 147 words of German aren't going to get me very far at the show.
