I bought some years ago and hunted Africa with it. Not sure that there was much of a difference in that and the regular 375 H&H. It might have been just a little bit faster. Can't recall exactly.

Any leads on decent deals of .375 h&h brass or factory ammo? It has been hard to find "Let me start off with two words: Made in America"

What did the 'HE' stand for? Just out of curiosity with a search, I couldn't find any reference to Federal HE ammo, past or present.

High Energy I believe it was. Roger ___________________________ I'm a trophy hunter - until something better comes along. *we band of 45-70ers*

High Energy was the meaning. I still have a partial box of 338 Winchester HE and maybe a couple of the 375 H&H cartridges. I never chronograph'd it but others said it was a bit faster than the standard loads.

based on my use of the 375 on Buffalo and HIppo I never could tell the difference in the 270 and 300 gr. bullets on game and a 300 gr. bullet at a somewhat slow 2400 to 2500 FPS always performed best it seems..I first heard this from Daktari and since he is a veterinarian I had to test it for a few years and I found him to be spot on..
