I have just bought a 202 Outback in 30-06 and was wondering if anyone here has any experience with this rifle fitted with Talley Steel Low rings/mounts. I would like to mount a Leupold VX2 2-7x33 or if thats too short, a 3-9x40 or similar. Would the Talley low rings have enough clearance for the above scopes? I could also consider the Talley Ultralite weights as I will not be swapping calibers on this rifle. Any advice appreciated!

My sauer M90 has low RECKNAGEL QD mounts but I doubt they are as low as the Talley low mounts. You might consider Medium to provide a bit more room for opening the Bolt.

I know it is not what you asked, but Warne "Low" QD's will clear a 42mm scope on a Sauer 202. Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get you....

The Talley lows will clear your scope, at least they do on mine! Good shooting!

I have the Talley Steel Low rings/mounts on a Sauer 202 Stutzen with a Nickel 1,5-6x42mm scope and it works perfectly. Here´s a picture : Cheer´s
