I took possession of my new toy, a Rem 700 Police rifle in .308 Win, topped off with a Nikon Monarch 6,5-20x44 AO. The rifle comes equipped with the new X-Mark Pro trigger, which looks like a better trigger system than the former one. However, I wonder how to remove the sealant covering the adjustment screws. Contrary to the former varnish that was easily removed, the present one looks more like some kind of plastic cement which defies scraping off, even after heating with a soldering iron. Has anybody met and solved the problem ? Thanks for your advice. André DRSS --------- 3 shots do not make a group, they show a point of aim or impact. 5 shots are a group.

A little heat will soften the locktite and they adjust just like the old trigger. When it cools down it hardens up again.
