The current generation of GS is NOT a dual core design like the older ones. I haven't taken game w/ them, I'm a Nosler Part. fan, but I have tested them in wetpack & they are a bit "harder", but not much, than the Speer Hotcore. If the bullets are "hard" and pass through on a shoulder shot, they would IMO be less likely to leave a "quivering pile of disgust" than a more frangible bullet. Grand Slams are harder because that is a cost-effective way to achieve reliable penetration at a wide range of velocities. The 30 caliber 180 GS holds up well at 300 Wby velocities and always exits. Shots 3/4 MOA as well. | |||
