I have been buying and watching hunting videos over the years. I generally stick with the Hunter Specialties Prime Time series lately because they are of decent quality and they have a certain amount of class, and Stan Potts is hilarious.

Anyways, bought a Realtree video called whitetail freaks and I forget what number. I have to say that every idiot and his dog with a digital camera is filming their hunts. Some slob was just sitting there and gut shoots a deer with a muzzleloader etc. One bow hit was a gut shot and the video is just low grade trash.

If people want to be Hollywood whores and advertise products for companies that is fine. I just ask to please leave the gutshot footage and other low class garbage out of it.

Thanks to the low cost of modern video cameras the likes of You Tube ect are littered with such low class garbage. There are some who have even gone as far as to create their own channels on You Tube. They have that much crap film footage.

Sadly all that this means is the anti hunting lobby no longer has to work hard to get its ammunition. These You Tube clowns dump it on the internet by the bucket load.

Yup.

I checked out the video last night again to get the specifics. I will name it here so you know what NOT to buy when you see it:

Realtree Whitetail Freaks #6

I have to tell one more clip from the video to give you an idea just how bad it is:

There is one scene where a guy pulls back on a slightly quartering away shot. The deer is walking and he doesn't give any vocal grunt to try and stop him. He then proceeds to put the arrow directly in front of the back leg. You know how we put the arrow just behind the front shoulder, well he put his arrow directly in front of the back leg right through the guts.

The buck then charges off and a second later there is a huge crack heard in the trees it ran into. Next scene they say they checked the footage and "hit him a little back" a very common term in this video. "But he was slightly quartering away and we probably just caught the far lung"

Upon retreiving the deer it was found to have ran directly head first into a tree and died doing so. The impact of hitting the tree is what killed the gut-shot deer.

I was actually quite surprised to find Bill Jordan and Realtree associated with this kind of low class advertising. I would have thought Realtree was a prosperous enough company that they wouldn't have to use such low grade material. The ironic thing is the video is 3 hours long and could easily be half that if I were editing it. Half the hunts wouldn't even be used. I guess Realtree has decided to market to the middle-aged drunk or pot smoker who laughs at those kind of clips or just doesn't care.

I have a hunting video made in US collecting dust somewhere.
I don't remember the name of it, but it is the worst collection of bad shooting I have ever seen.
It is enough fuel for the antis so they might even self combust watching it...

At least half the shots with bows, rifles, shotguns and muzzle loaders are misses or gut shots.
In so many situations they take a shot crossing their fingers in hope of they might be very lucky and hit what they are shooting at.

It disgusts me that these people are hunting and it disgusts me even more that they make and sell a DVD with this crap.

They seem to have no respect for the animals they are hunting at all.

It is very sad that something like this gets published on youtube, tv or as a dvd Frowner

Amateur videos and Youtube video's are always going to exist and those don't bother me. Their is always going to be bozo's who shoot bad and film it.

What bother's me is a company as big as Realtree associating with and using garbage to advertise.
