Hallo guys.

-Fired from one of the .300 Magnums, what do you feel this little hot-headed bullet could be used for game-wise
(-if any!)?!

I think they suck!

It is a short stubby bullet for a .308 and velocity & energy fall off exceedingly fast for its initial velocity. The fact that it is a solid core bullet will help it on game but its poor sectional density leads me to believe that this bullet could tumble inside a deer rather than expand.

It is well outside the optimum weight and dimension for .308 caliber.

Interesting thought. I'm sure someone has done it. If it worked very well I am sure it would have been all over these boards. The Barnes manual doesn't have the 110's in, but it does say how you have to crimp on the 130's because the shank is so short, I imagine its going to be even worse with a 110. I would try it in a 300 Win Mag, with its shorter neck, but not so sure I'd want to try playing around with a long necked 300 like the Weatherby or Norma, just seems like it might be a hassle.

If you think every possible niche has been filled already, thank a wildcatter!

Rechamber to 300 Weatherby and shoot 150g bullets at the same velocity ...

The BC on the 110 tipped is .295. The BC on the 150 tipped is .420. You might launch them really fast, but they will bleed velocity about as fast. Defeats the purpose. The same problem occurs with the .375H&H. People see how much faster the lighter bullets can be launched than the 270s and 300s, but they are so short and stubby they fall out of the sky about 200 yards.
