Here are some pics of my modified Ruger Hawkeye 338 Federal. It has an Accurate Innovations pecan stock that has full aluminum bedding. I had a trigger job (3lb), smoothed the action, and added express sights. I'm about to go on vacation so I plan on shooting it when I get back. It shot pretty well with Federal Fusions before the mods. I'll have some fun over the next few months with load development.

Nice choice of cartridge too.

I finally took my 338 to the range. It's a pretty good shooter with 200 gr Fusions. I tried some reloads but couldn't close to the fusions on accuracy. At least it likes the cheap factory ammo. I guess I'll keep playing with hand loads but it's nice to know it's a shooter.

Yes. They moved to NC.

The groups are great and must make going custom feel worth it. But I have to say, that is one sweet looking rifle! Please make me one in LH right away!
