I've used 130 grain CorLocks for over 20 years with excellent results on such nasty creatures as deer and antelope.

Putting together a .300 win mag and would like to work up a flat shooting hand load, primarily for deer and antelope but also elk. I like the velocity of the 165s and wonder if the CorLock is a good choice. They seem like great bullets to me in the 130 gr/3100fps in the .270.

Thanks

I prefer something like 180 grain for elk and I'd also prefer something like a Nosler Partition but the corelokts will work too
Have a great time elk hunting.

Al the 165 cl's will work just fine, I too would prefer to use the 180's but that is just me.

If Rem ever gets them out to use home rollers I gotta believe the Ultra CL's would be the way to go.

Good luck and go Cats!
