Would anyone happen to know what a Sako AV 300 win mag barrelled action or rifle weights. I tried to find it on the internet but no luck. Thanks, JIm

I had an AV .375H&H that weighed 7lbs., 12oz. A .300WinMag might weigh a bit more due to the smaller bore hole. George

Thanks George, that is just what I needed to know. Interestingly, I assumed a 300 would be lighter than a 375 but now that you mention smaller bore I would expect it to be heavier. Thanks again, Jim

Are the 375 and 300 barrel profiles the same. From the Sakos I've seen I'm not sure that's the case.

Just weighed my 30-06 & 338 WM Sako AV the other day. The 30-06 has a wood stock. It weighs 7 lbs 7 1/8 oz. Stock weighs 2 lbs 4 oz. That puts the action/barrel at 5 lbs 3 1/8 oz. My Fiberclass model 338 weighs 7 lbs 9 3/4 oz. The stock weighs 2 lbs 2 3/8 oz, making the action/barrel 5 lbs 7 3/8 oz. Gave me a new appreciation for them, even if the left hand rifle has the safety on the right hand side...
