Thanks, definately a cost saver... I've purchased all my Nosler Custom 300 SAUM ammo from their sale/overruns; it was cheaper than buying the brass. Jim "Life's hard; it's harder if you're stupid" John Wayne

I know why I haven't brought any factory center fire hunting ammo for decades. Even when on sale it is a lot more expensive then reloading.

Well, yes and no. In the case of common cartridges you are certainly right most of the time, unless the sale is very cheap, but as above mentioned, the component costs of the .264 WM ammo and the 9.3x74R that I bought a few boxes of, are more than the sales price. I didn't do an analysis of many of the rounds in the sale, but I'm pretty sure that holds true for all but the most common ones in this instance. Many people like to reload. Personally after reloading hundreds of thousands of shells, mostly shotgun and a some pistol, I just look at it as a chore. Unless I'm reloading for many rounds of practice, I much prefer to buy my rifle hunting shells. I'd rather spend my time doing something I enjoy more. I too purchased the .264 WM. It was selling for about the same cost/round as the cost/case for unprimed brass. Add in the cost of bullets and powder and it becomes a real bargain. I now have loaded ammo at the cost of brass PLUS I will have the brass to reload once I shoot it. .

Thanks for the head's up! Just ordered 5 boxes of 9.3 x 62 Paritions @ $39.00 a box. Can't really reload them for that price. Cheapest 9.3 x 62 Partitions on Ammoseek are are about $65.00 a box.

Picked up a few boxes of those myself, went back after I placed my order and said all sold out. Guess I wasn't the only one buying 9.3x62 ammo tonight. ____________________________ If you died tomorrow, what would you have done today ... 2018 Zimbabwe - Tuskless w/ Nengasha Safaris 2011 Mozambique - Buffalo w/ Mashambanzou Safaris

They certainly are good if you do not reload. For the 264, it is a trade-off IF you must have the correct headstamp. I just resize 7mm mag brass and that makes reloading cheaper. Larry "Peace is that brief glorious moment in history, when everybody stands around reloading" -- Thomas Jefferson

Thank you Gato. After reading your note, I took advantage of the sale and bought 3 boxes of 9.3 x 62 at a great price. Thanks again
